Ken Lee

Born in the UK, Ken was posted to Canada during his National Service with the RAF during the Korean war. After graduating from Cambridge University in 1957, he emigrated to Canada and worked in Alberta as a subsurface geologist with Shell Canada for 4 years. In 1961, Ken qualified as an Ontario high school teacher and spent the next 30 years as a Principal in Ontario and Europe.

 

Since retiring to Salt Spring Island in 1991, Ken has been a School Trustee, a Fire Protection Board member, and President of the South Salt Spring Property Owners and Residents Association. He is still actively involved with community choirs and theatre, and supports positive, not-for-profit affordable living environments for seniors such as Meadowbrook.
